[잠언 3장] 마음을 다하여 여호와를 신뢰하는 지혜

안녕하세요, 하나님을 경외하며 말씀에 순종하고 찬양하기를 즐겨하는 꼬꼬입니다.

잠언 3장은 우리가 평생 붙잡아야 할 약속의 말씀들로 가득합니다. 우리의 모든 길을 지도하시는 하나님을 신뢰하며, 1절부터 35절까지의 말씀을 차분히 묵상해 봅니다.

📖 잠언 3장 본문 (Proverbs 3:1-35)

1. My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
1. 내 아들아 나의 법을 잊어버리지 말고 네 마음으로 나의 명령을 지키라

2. For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
2. 그리하면 그것이 네가 장수하여 많은 해를 누리게 하며 평강을 더하게 하리라

3. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
3. 인자와 진리가 네게서 떠나지 말게 하고 그것을 네 목에 매며 네 마음판에 새기라

4. So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
4. 그리하면 네가 하나님과 사람 앞에서 은총과 귀중히 여김을 받으리라

5. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
5. 너는 마음을 다하여 여호와를 신뢰하고 네 명철을 의지하지 말라

6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
6. 너는 범사에 그를 인정하라 그리하면 네 길을 지도하시리라

7. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
7. 스스로 지혜롭게 여기지 말지어다 여호와를 경외하며 악을 떠날지어다

8. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
8. 이것이 네 몸에 양약이 되어 네 골수를 윤택하게 하리라

9. Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
9. 네 재물과 네 소산물의 처음 익은 열매로 여호와를 공경하라

10. So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
10. 그리하면 네 창고가 가득히 차고 네 포도즙 틀에 새 포도즙이 넘치리라

11. My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:
11. 내 아들아 여호와의 징계를 경히 여기지 말라 그 꾸지람을 싫어하지 말라

12. For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
12. 대저 여호와께서 그 사랑하시는 자를 징계하시기를 마치 아비가 그 기뻐하는 아들을 징계함 같이 하시느니라

13. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
13. 지혜를 얻은 자와 명철을 얻은 자는 복이 있나니

14. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
14. 이는 지혜를 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫고 그 이익이 정금보다 나음이니라

15. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
15. 지혜는 진주보다 귀하니 네가 사모하는 모든 것으로도 이에 비교할 수 없도다

16. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
16. 그의 오른손에는 장수가 있고 그의 왼손에는 부귀가 있나니

17. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
17. 그 길은 즐거운 길이요 그의 지름길은 다 평강이니라

18. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
18. 지혜는 그 얻은 자에게 생명 나무라 지혜를 가진 자는 복되도다

19. The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.
19. 여호와께서는 지혜로 땅에 터를 놓으셨으며 명철로 하늘을 견고히 세우셨고

20. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.
20. 그의 지식으로 깊은 바다를 갈라지게 하셨으며 공중에서 이슬이 내리게 하셨느니라

21. My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:
21. 내 아들아 완전한 지혜와 근신을 지키고 이것들이 네 눈 앞에서 떠나지 말게 하라

22. So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.
22. 그리하면 그것이 네 영혼의 생명이 되며 네 목에 장식이 되리니

23. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble.
23. 네가 네 길을 평안히 행하겠고 네 발이 거치지 아니하겠으며

24. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.
24. 네가 누울 때에 두려워하지 아니하겠고 네가 누운즉 네 잠이 달리로다

25. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.
25. 너는 갑작스러운 두려움도 악인에게 닥치는 멸망도 두려워하지 말라

26. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
26. 대저 여호와는 네가 의지할 이시니라 네 발을 지켜 걸리지 않게 하시리라

27. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
27. 네 손이 선을 베풀 힘이 있거든 마땅히 받을 자에게 베풀기를 아끼지 말며

28. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee.
28. 네게 있거든 이웃에게 이르기를 갔다가 다시 오라 내일 주겠노라 하지 말며

29. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.
29. 네 이웃이 네 곁에서 평안히 살거든 그를 해하려고 꾀하지 말며

30. Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm.
30. 사람이 네게 악을 행하지 아니하였거든 까닭 없이 더불어 다투지 말며

31. Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
31. 포학한 자를 부러워하지 말며 그의 어떤 행위도 따르지 말라

32. For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous.
32. 대저 패역한 자는 여호와께서 미워하시나 정직한 자에게는 그의 교통하심이 있으며

33. The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
33. 악인의 집에는 여호와의 저주가 있거니와 의인의 집에는 복이 있느니라

34. Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly.
34. 진실로 그는 거만한 자를 비웃으시며 겸손한 자에게 은혜를 주시나니

35. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.
35. 지혜로운 자는 영광을 기업으로 받거니와 미련한 자의 현달함은 수치가 되느니라

1. 전심으로 여호와를 신뢰하라

내 지혜와 판단보다 하나님의 인도하심을 전적으로 의지하는 것이 지혜의 핵심입니다.

"너는 마음을 다하여 여호와를 신뢰하고 네 명철을 의지하지 말라 범사에 그를 인정하라 그리하면 네 길을 지도하시리라" (잠언 3:5-6)

[꼬꼬의 해설]: 인생의 중대한 결정이나 어려운 문제(주소 문제 등) 앞에서 우리는 자꾸 내 생각과 계산을 앞세우게 됩니다. 하지만 주님은 '범사에' 그분을 인정하라고 하십니다. 작은 일부터 큰 일까지 주권을 맡겨드릴 때, 하나님은 우리 발걸음을 가장 정확한 길로 이끌어 주실 것입니다.

2. 지혜는 생명 나무와 같습니다

지혜를 얻는 것은 세상의 어떤 보화를 얻는 것보다 귀하고 행복한 일입니다.

"지혜는 그 얻은 자에게 생명 나무라
지혜를 가진 자는 복되도다" (잠언 3:18)

[꼬꼬의 해설]: 지혜가 우리 삶에 들어오면 평강과 즐거움이 따라옵니다. 지혜의 길은 단순히 성공하는 길이 아니라 우리 영혼이 살아나는 '생명의 길'입니다. 금이나 은보다 주님의 명철을 더 사모하는 꼬꼬의 삶이 되길 기도합니다.

3. 이웃과 함께하는 지혜로운 삶

참된 지혜는 하나님과의 관계뿐 아니라 이웃과의 관계에서도 선을 베푸는 모습으로 나타납니다.

• 🕊️ "네 손이 선을 베풀 힘이 있거든 마땅히 받을 자에게 베풀기를 아끼지 말며" (잠언 3:27)

[꼬꼬의 해설]: 나만 잘 사는 것이 지혜가 아닙니다. 내 곁의 이웃과 평안하게 지내고, 내가 가진 것으로 도울 수 있을 때 미루지 않고 베푸는 것이 하나님이 기뻐하시는 지혜자의 삶입니다. 겸손한 자에게 은혜를 주시는 주님을 닮아가는 하루가 되고 싶습니다.

[마치며: 달콤한 잠을 주시는 평안]

"네가 누울 때에 두려워하지 아니하겠고 네가 누운즉 네 잠이 달리로다" (잠언 3:24)
